custom-o-rama

lately i have been inundated with custom orders...it's truely been a blessing. a WHOOPING thank you and HUG for all those that have partaken in the goods ;o)

now, throughly immersed in the site updating, shop updating, new photo design, new technique trial-n-errors in the studio, show planning and partaking....i'm IN THE MODE, as they say.

for now, bewilder yourself with a few photos of my custom pieces, most flew out the door before i had a chance to whip out my camera!

i decided to name this series Ailette.

this series began as a dream (as described in the previous post), and as these rings took shape beneath my fingers, they reminded me of some sort of battered and beaten, yet still beautiful medieval armour.

some google research later...the word ailette reached out to me and stuck. an ailette, is a typically flat portion of armour, used to protect the shoulder region...although there is some argument as to whether they actually enhanced protection to the neck, or were purely used for decoration purposes.

they are now posted in my etsy shop!

the beginning of the 5 circles

so the other night, i had an intense dream wherein 5 dots kept re-occuring to me, for a some important reason wholly unbeknownst to my little brain.

i fully understand that some dreams mean completely nothing...but from certain experiences (which i will never forget), i most definitely do believe that some dreams have meaning, and that they should be perfectly clear to us but our minds are so trained to this earthly reality...most of us cannot see past this.

this is the first of my series of the 5 circles...another ring is halfway completed lying impatiently on my dirty bench.

as soon as i can get some good daylight this weekend, better pictures will appear and will be for sale on my etsy site!

latest playthings...i'm obsessed with these darn little balls. it's quite trying to get them to solder properly...took several attempts, and some of the balls still fell off (as you can see in the zoom pic)

ah well, i'll keep trying

oh yes, my apologies for the terrible photos...i'm tired tonight.

sunny day!

oh how i wish i were outside today, instead of cooped up indoors in an office warehouse. somedays i wonder if i would rather take a considerable paycut to work outdoors in an orchard, picking grapefruit, and actually get to ENJOY this beautiful earth.

actually, i believe this is what happens to me every year come january. i'm sick and tired of dreary winter days, where the darkness comes at 5pm sharp (right when i'm free of my day job), and my poor deprived skin crawls with yearning for luscious, warm, vitamin c enriched rays of sun. i just don't feel healthy without sunlight...
